Gloria Lynne wrote lyrics to jazz giant Herbie Hancock's "Watermelon Man" in 1969.

Her performance of "Speaking of Happiness" is included in the sound track of the hit movie Seven (1995).

She was honored by the proclamation of "Gloria Lynne Day" in New York City in 1995, Philadelphia in 1992 and Delaware in 1992.
